The 2005 Mixed Club Championship (a.k.a. The Italian) has been moved back one week. Originally, it was scheduled for the week of January 16 – 22 but because of a scheduling conflict, the event had to be pushed back one week and will take place the week of January 23 – 29.

The annual event has always been considered the social event of the year. With upwards of 50 teams (200 curlers) playing throughout the week, and 350 dinner guests for the spectacular Italian Meal hosted at the Knights of Columbus Hall on the Saturday night, The Italian is always memorable.

The teams are chosen at random, and the curling begins the Sunday evening (Jan. 23). There will be games held every night of the week, as all the regular leagues are put on hold. The Friday night (Jan. 28) is also Italian Night at the Cornwall Curling Centre with a great meal, and great curling! The whole event culminates in the Finals late Saturday afternoon and the huge dinner afterwards at the Knights of Columbus.
