The 2005 Mixed Club Championship (a.k.a. The Italian) has come and gone. A Great week of curling finished up with a fantastic Final Match between the teams of Peter Tropea and Angus McLeod.

On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, the drama unfolded. McLeod's team jumped to an early lead and held on to it for most of the match. Tropea never surrendered, battling back in the late ends to eventually tie the game in the last end with a tap to the button, that required a measurement.

With the match all square, they headed into an extra end to determine the 2005 Champs. Both teams applied the pressure, and it came down to McLeod's last rock. With Tropea lying 2 rocks in the eight foot, Mcleod had to draw to the four foot to win!

A great final, to match a great week of curling.
