Bill Blad captures Labatt Men's title.

In an extra end, against one of Cornwall's long time great curlers, Bill Blad from the Rideau Curling Club, stole the show and captured his first Men's A Final at the Cornwall Curling Centre.

The teams exchanged leads throughout the game and ultimately went to a 9th and deciding end. With the score notched, and Cornwall having last rock, Blad had hidden two rocks on the four foot. It came down to George Dolejsi's last shot! Cornwall's rock came to rest a few inches deep in the house and Blad won!

"It was a very good result for a team that was entered at the last moment" stated an excited Blad. "We had a good run, and look forward to defending our title next year!".

The winning team from Rideau was: Skip Bill Blad, 3rd Mark Leger, 2nd Phil Hubbard, Lead Brian Smith.
