Charles Wert’s Cornwall squad went undefeated this past weekend to clinch a berth in the O.C.A. Regionals in curling action at the Cornwall Curling Centre. The Wert Rink played Homan from the Ottawa Curling Club in the Final and beat him handily.

Now the Cornwall team will travel to Tweed Ontario to compete in the Regional event that will decide who goes to the Ontario Provincials. The O.C.A. Regionals will be held January 7-8 in the new year.

Other action saw Pascal Letendre beat Jen Hanna in the Women’s Final.

The competition was steep. Former Brier skip Brian Cochrane and last year's finalist of the Scott tournament of Hearts, Jen Hanna, were both in the competition.
